Telephone Acquisition Benchmarking Initiative

The Telephone Acquisition Benchmarking Initiative is a first-of-its-kind collaboration aimed at improving donor recruitment via telephone.

This project invites charities and fundraising suppliers to share campaign data and compare performance in a safe and anonymous way for mutual learning.

If you run one-step or two-step conversion campaigns or win-back efforts, this is your chance to see how you stack up and gain real, practical insights.

So basically get your overview of telephone acquisition!

The project aims to improve the transparency of telephone fundraising by collecting and comparing campaign performance data across our sector on telephone acquisition.

This first benchmark focuses specifically on win-back campaigns and one-step and two-step conversion strategies - so your warm and cold acquisition. We need to start somewhere, and this is it.

By participating, you'll get a clearer picture of how your performance compares to others across the sector. Amongst other things, you can use it to find strengths and areas for growth, spot trends like contact rates and conversion rates or simply get a feel for the sector-wide performance in the final report and webinar.

At the end of the project, you get:

Checkmark
A 10-age Benchmarking Report, breaking down the data by country, campaign type, and more
Checkmark
A webinar where we present the findings and open the floor for questions and discussion

What You’ll Learn (And Share)

We’ll not be limited to but these are some of the metrics we are curiouse about including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as:

Checkmark
Average Donation Amount: Measures the mean value of donations received, providing insight into donor generosity and helping to tailor fundraising strategies.
Checkmark
Contact Rate: Assesses the percentage of potential donors successfully reached during campaigns, crucial for understanding outreach effectiveness, especially in light of technological challenges and connectivity issues.
Checkmark
Conversion Rate: Evaluates the proportion of contacted individuals who become donors, indicating the effectiveness of campaign messaging and engagement strategies.
Checkmark
Signups Per Hour: Tracks the number of donor signups achieved per hour of outreach, offering a metric for operational efficiency and resource allocation.

These KPIs will provide valuable insights into the performance of one-step, two-step, and win-back acquisition campaigns, enabling organizations to benchmark their efforts and identify areas for improvement.

As an organisational member, you can add data for an unlimited number of campaigns and customers - fully anonymized. We encourage you to add data for as many campaigns as possible.
